Finally, the wait for the Central Board of Secondary Education ended the wait for students and parents. As the clock struck six in the evening on December 31, 2020, The Education Minister of India, Mr.Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced the CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2021 dates.
It was further to the announcement on December 22, 2020, when Pokhriyal had confirmed on their official Twitter handle that he would be announcing the CBSE Board exam dates on December 31, 2020, as to when the board exams would commence.
The wait for dates ultimately ended on that day.
For more than a month now, students were enquiring about the exam date; also requesting the Education Minister to postpone the CBSE Board 2021 exam schedule. Citing many reasons and roadblocks like many schools are still not re-opened across various parts of the country yet, the students have been asking for more time for the exams. Mr. Pokhriyal accepted their requests and announced early in December that the CBSE Board Exams shall not be conducted until February. The exact date sheet as to when they will commence is still awaited.
For now, the Education Minister has declared that-
- CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2021 would be steered from May 4 to June 10, 2021, across the country.
- Practical Exam will begin on March 1 for both Class 10 and 12 that will allow students enough time to prepare for it.
- It was further announced that the CBSE Board Exam Result 2021 would then be announced by July 15, 2021.
- The date sheet would be available to candidates on the official site of CBSE soon. On complete declaration, the date sheet will then be released on the official site – cbse.nic.in.

CBSE Board Exams 2021 to be conducted offline mode only
Like past years this year too, the CBSE Board Exams 2021 would be held in offline mode only. Although, Covid-19 affected many exams and tests and forced the officials to conduct it in online mode. The Education Minister in his last webinar on 22 December 2020, with teachers, noticeably informed that CBSE 2021 exam for Class 10, 12 would be conducted in pen and paper mode only and not online.
Steps to download the CBSE Date Sheet 2021
- Visit the official website of CBSE using the link- cbse.nic.in.
- Click on CBSE Date Sheet 2021 for Class 10 or Class 12 on the site’s home page.
- The date sheet in PDF format will open on the screen.
- Adeptly check the exam dates and download/save the file.
- Print and keep a hard copy of the date sheet handy for further need.
