CDS EXAMS stands Combined Defence Services Examination, which is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Services Commission) to recruit Commissioned Officers for various Defence Services i.e. Air Force, Naval Force, and Indian Army. Qualifying candidates go through training at INA (Indian Naval Academy), AFA (Air Force Academy), IMA (Indian Military Academy), and OTA (Officers’ Training Academy). CDS Exams are conducted twice every year generally in February, September.

Eligibility Criteria for CDS Exams 2021:-

Applicants fulfilling all the eligibility criteria will only be recruited for Defence Services. Eligibility criteria are based on parameters like age, educational qualification, nationality, etc. Candidates need to verify those criteria before applying for CDS Exams.

Application Form for CDS Exams 2021:-

 The application forms for CDS Exams will be out on their official website. It comprises two phases. Phase I where the candidate gives their details as per the particulars chooses preferred branches and thereafter generates registration ID, and Phase II involves payment of application fees, uploading of scanned signature, and photograph. The application can be also be withdrawn when the facility for the same is made available. Application fees for CDS Exams will be Rs.220/- which can be paid via offline and online mode.

Admit Card:-

Admit cards for the Exams will be out three weeks before the examination. Candidates will have to download their admit card from the official link. No hardcopy of the admit cards will send to any of the candidates by post.

The paper of  English is set to test the command on the language of the candidates


The paper on this subject is designed to test the Applicant’s Current Affairs knowledge.


The paper is based on questions from topics like Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Arithmetic, Trigonometry, and Mensuration.

CDS Result and CDS Cut Off 2021:-

 The result is declared in two stages:  First, being CDS result in 2021 for the written exam, which is followed by Final Result based on which candidates will be selected and permitted entry to different defense academies.

CDS Cut off is referred to minimum qualifying marks which a candidate will have to secure to be eligible for further rounds. These cut off are to be obtained by every candidate for both the exam i.e. Written and Final SSB Interview separately.
