Q.1 If I do not get my Admit Card, whom should I contact?

The Admit Card needs to be directly printed from the NLCEE 2020 website using your registration ID and Password. The admit card will not be mailed to your postal address if you have applied online. If you are unable to view your Admit Card after logging in, contact us at If you have applied through your school/college, then you can collect the admit card from your school office.

Q.2 Do I have to send the printout of the application form?

The printout of the application form is not required to be sent to the NLCEE office.

Q.3 After completing the ONLINE application process and paying the exam fee, will I be able to change my application data?

After completing all the steps up to fee payment in the ONLINE application process, you can only download the application form and CANNOT modify the data. Hence, you need to be very careful while entering the data.

Q.4 What is the exam fee refund policy?

Fee once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

Q.5 How can I find a test center?

We will send you an SMS with the Google map link of your examination center one week before the exam date.

Q.6 If I cannot register online, can I register offline?

Yes, you can register offline; contact your school office/representative for the same.

Q.7 What is the best way to prepare for the NLCEE exam?

There is no need for prerequisite preparation as it is not designed to test one’s technical skills in math or science, but it’s meant to test one’s aptitude, his/her creativity in problem-solving, and thinking outside the box.

Q.8 Can I take notes/books during the exam?

Candidates are prohibited from bringing notes/books to the testing center.

Q.9 How many sections will there be in NLCEE 2020?

NLCEE 2020 will have two sections: Section – 1. Quantitative Reasoning Section: Basic High School Mathematics (we may add physics, chemistry, and bio also); Section – 2. Analytical Reasoning Section: Common Sense, Logic, Puzzles, Direction Sense, Family Tree, etc.

Q.10 What is the duration of the NLCEE 2020 exam?

The exam duration is 3 hours.

Q.11 Does NLCEE 2020 have a syllabus for exam preparation?

No, the NLCEE exam does not have a defined syllabus for exam preparation.

Q.12 What is the marking/grading scheme for NLCEE? Is there negative marking for a wrong answer?

Each correct answer is awarded 4 marks. An incorrect answer fetches -1. No marks are given or deducted for unattempted questions.

Q.13 When will NLCEE 2020 result be declared?

NLCEE 2020 exam result will be declared in the last week of Dec 2020.

Q.14 Who is eligible to take the NLCEE 2020 exam?

Anyone who is studying in class 9, 10, 11, and 12. Students who are preparing for competitive exams can also appear in the exam.

Q.15 Am I allowed to leave the examination hall during the examination?

Candidates will NOT be allowed to leave the examination hall for any reason during the examination. Candidates are allowed to leave the examination hall only after the scheduled end of the examination.

Q.16 What items are not permitted to be brought with me inside the examination venue?

Only Admit Card, Identification Card, and a pen is permitted to be taken inside the examination hall. Mobile phones, physical calculators, wristwatches, or any other electronic items are NOT permitted inside the examination hall. If a candidate brings any of these items, they have to be kept outside the examination hall at the candidate’s own risk. If the candidate is found to be in possession of these items (even if not using them), he/she will be disqualified and the result will not be declared for the candidate.

Q.17 Will there be any arrangement at the examination center for the safekeeping of my personal items such as my mobile phone?

Such arrangements will not be made at the examination center. If a candidate brings personal belongings including mobile phones, they have to be kept outside the examination hall at the candidate’s own risk. The NLCEE officials are not responsible for the safekeeping of your personal items.
